101 years of statistics now available on Cricket Statz

The hard work of Eddie Lewis and his band of volunteers has driven the digitisation of Derek Scott's historical archives of Cricket Leinster, and today the next phase of that work has been completed.

From 1919, the next 101 seasons of cricket in Leinster saw 5515 players play "senior" cricket for 29 different clubs. And the annual performances of each of those players can now be viewed across the Cricket Leinster website and our partners on Cricket Statz.

Cricket Leinster's online archive holds the following

• All competition winners for Open, Women and Youth Competitions
• Details of players who have represented Leinster in Interpros, and for Leinster Lightning
• Lists of the leading players in Open Competitions history from 1919
• Annual averages for each player to have played in Senior cricket since 1919
• A full career summary for each of the 5515 players to have played Senior Cricket
• A list of all the individual annual competition winners

From today, Cricket Leinster's partner CricketStatz also has the annual performances of all players to have played senior cricket since 1919, along with full scorecards for the period 1989-1994 and since 2011.

CricketStatz allows detailed analysis of our statistics, with public access available here or an enhanced customisable database (requiring login) available here. (If you require login credentials, please contact admin@cricketleinster.ie)

Examples of analysis available on CricketStatz include:

• The top 400 run scorers in the history of Leinster cricket, led by Ginger O'Brien
• Who are the three bowlers to have taken more than 1000 Senior wickets?
• 44 hundreds have been scored by Hills players. Who has the most?
• Who were the stars of the all conquering Phoenix team from 1975-1979?

Notes

"Senior" cricket refers to all Leinster Senior League, Leinster Senior Cup, Short Leagues, Premier/Championship and Senior League Cricket since 1919 (but excluding the 2020 season, T20 cricket and the Irish Senior Cup/National Cup)

The database currently includes annual summaries for each player, but excluding overs bowled and best bowling for bowlers for these years: 1919-1988, 1995-2010
And full scorecards for 1989-1994 and 2011-
