These numbers include 240 female players and almost 600 youth players which is very encouraging.
Whilst Leinster, Merrion, Pembroke, Terenure, and Malahide lead the way so far, it is great to see that many clubs across the province are seeing women’s cricketers registering for the first time suggesting material growth for 2022.
On the Youth side, we are shaping up for another year of growth in participation with 3 clubs already signed up to enter teams in the CL youth competitions for the first time – Tyrrelstown, Castleknock and Athlone – with others in the pipeline – all very encouraging news.
On the Youth side, CL is once again be providing a packaged solution for each registered player which includes:
- Participation in all CL club youth competitions
- Full Personal Accident Insurance
- CL branded Starter Pack (t-shirt, bat and balls)
- Access to CL Blitz events during the summer 2022
