With youth training returning next Monday (26th), there has been an understandable ramp-up in the pace of youth registrations in particular over the 7 days.
The good news is that we have passed the 1,000 youth registrations mark across the province during the last week.
Brian O’Rourke, Development Manager (North Leinster) spoke of his delight at these numbers:
“It is brilliant to see such buoyancy in our youth registration numbers. As a Development team, we are all hugely looking forward to the new club season and the chance to deliver another full Leinster Underage Programme.
I am particularly pleased to see the level of growth in youth participation at many of our newer clubs as we expand our footprint right across the province. Bernard O’Mara has also recently joined our team and is focused on supporting clubs in the Midlands and I also announced an expanded programme in Fingal with the recruitment of Mitchell Thompson, focused on the Tyrrelstown area.”
The key benefits of youth registration include:
- Participation in all CL club youth competitions
- Full Personal Accident Insurance
- CL branded Starter Pack
- €3.00 rebate to the club for all Under 9s registered
- Access to CL Blitz events during the summer

As can be seen, eleven clubs now have over 100 registered players with Leinster CC continuing to lead the way with 159 players already signed up for the 2021 season.
Clontarf CC (116), Malahide CC (113), Civil Service CC (103) and Railway Union CC (100) all passed the century mark in the past week which is brilliant.
