This week has seen a continued surge in player registrations such that we have now reached another major milestone with 3,500 players now registered across Leinster.
To some extent, this is undoubtedly being driven by the impending deadline for the submission of the first club starrings however it also reflects a massive interest in playing cricket after the long winter and challenging times associated with the pandemic.
We have also reached an important milestone on the youth side with over 1,500 players now registered with good numbers at all age categories from Under 9 upwards.
We very much appreciate all the positive feedback around youth registration package which include:
- Participation in all CL club youth competitions
- Full Personal Accident Insurance
- CL branded Starter Pack
- €3.00 rebate to the club for all Under 9s registered
- Access to CL Blitz events during the summer

You will see from the above that we have included the top 22 clubs for the first time to acknowledge the great growth stories at both Knockharley CC and Tyrrelstown CC, both now with almost 70 registered players.
Pembroke CC continues to lead the way with 243 players signed up so far whilst Leinster CC passed the 200 mark during the past week also.
At a province wide level, Greystones CC is on-track to be the largest club outside the Greater Dublin area whilst we are also seeing great progress at clubs like North Kildare (Kildare), Knockharley (Meath), Mullingar (Westmeath) with 59 registered players, Kilkenny (Kilkenny) with 52 registered players and Athlone CC (Offaly) with 43 players now on the books – all brilliant progress.
