The Adamstown Cricket Academy is resuming this Sunday 13th January. The Academy started in Autumn 2012 and has proved very successful so far. It is organised by Adsmtown Cricket Club. It is headed by Olag Sivanantham. He is assisted by Kenny Carroll (Cricket Development Officer LCU /SDCC) and Hammas Habib and Basil Nadeem.
The Academy gives local boys and girls an opportunity to learn and practice the skills of cricket in a fun and safe environment. Games are also use to enhance the learning process. Many of the boys and girls have been introduced to cricket at their primary schools through the LCU primary school development programme in partnership with South Dublin County Council.

4 week Course : From 13-Jan-2013 to 3-Feb 2013
Time : Every Sunday from 9.00-11.00am
Venue : Adamstown Castle Educate Together National School Sport Hall
Eligibility : All boys and girls age 7 & up
Timing : 9.00-10.00am – Age 7-10 ; 10.00-11.00am – Age 11-13
Course fee : €8 for four weeks or €2 per session
Registration on the day, Parents welcome to participate (separate coaching will be provided for interested parents)

The club provides all equipment. Soft kwik cricket balls are used so no protective equipment is required. Adamstown Cricket Club would like to express its thanks to Adamstown Castle Educate Together School and the LCU/SDCC for their continued assistance.
This winter Adamstown members have been part of the Leinster under 15 and under 17 boys squads. Many Adamstown members have also attended the the LCU under 13 coaching clinics at Kings Hospital school which resume this friday evening the 11th January.
2013 promises to be an exciting year for Adamstown CC with 3 teams now entered in the OCC competitions. More youth teams will also be established. Despite not being awarded a sports capital government grant the clubs plan to develop a net training facility in Adamstown are still going ahead.
