Following a second target for the season being achieved when Eoghan Delany reached 2,000 runs, no 3 has now been reached.
This target is another case of 2,000 runs being reached and the player who has got there is Theo Lawson of Pembroke. Theo first made his senior debut for Clontarf in 2003 and played 14 matches for Clontarf. He moved to Pembroke in 2007 and made his debut there that year. He started this season needing 397 runs to get there. He has done well for Pembroke this year and reached his target with an unbeaten century in the Senior Cup against Phoenix.
He has therefore to date played 97 matches, batted 90 times of which 10 have been not out. His highest score is 108* and as of reaching his target he had scored 2,021 runs at an average of 25.26. His 2,021 runs include 5 centuries and 13 Fifties. In the one match he has played since reached the 2,000 he brought his total runs for 2012 season to 500, the first in either Division 1 or 2 in Leinster to do so this year.
