BALBRIGGAN INTO ALL-IRELAND T20 FINAL

Cricket Leinster sends congratulations to Balbriggan CC who flew their club flag with great pride today at Brigade to qualify for the All-Ireland T20 Final.

Having won the Alan Murray Cup back in May, Andre Botha’s team travelled north and did us all proud in defeating Brigade in a game reduced to 14 overs per side.

Restricting the home team to 131, Balbriggan chased the total down for the loss of 5 wkts with 3 balls to spare.

All the bowlers did well with Farooq Nasr picking up 3/20 and young Eoin Birch chipping in with 2/21.

After a shaky start, Cameron Rowe and Greg Ford combined in a match winning partnership - the captain contributing 43 whilst Rowe was unbeaten at the end on 73*.

Huge congrats to Balbriggan who continue to go from strength to strength.
