The CL Autumn General meeting was completed this evening at Pembroke CC.
A minutes silence was observed in memory of those who had sadly passed since the Autumn meeting in November 2023.
There were specific reports from each of the competition committees which were reviewed and approved by the meeting. All committees were thanked for their contribution to the running of Cricket Leinster over the past 12 months.
John Heavey was re-elected for a further term as CL Board Chair. Barry Tucker was also re-elected for a further term as CL Chair of Finance and Board member.
Nominations had been received prior to the meeting for all 37 governance roles which were confirmed and approved by the meeting. No ballots were required on this occasion.
The list of people elected for 2025 is outlined below.
Siobhan McBennett (CL President – 2024) addressed the meeting summarizing her year as President and outlining what an honour it had been to serve in this leadership role. She thanked all those within the club cricket community who had supported her along the way in fulfilling her role.
As Board Chair, John Heavey presented Siobhan with a small gift in recognition of her brilliant service as CL President for 2024 and for her contribution as a CL Board member since incorporation in 2017.

Meena enthused about the diversity of the club cricket community in Leinster and her desire to ensure we are inclusive in all aspects of how we operate. In an exciting development on the social front, Meena announced her intention to host a pre-season Bollywood Night for the club cricket community - to be held in late March 2025.
As Chair, John Heavey briefed the meeting that Brian Kelleher has been nominated by the Board as CL President Elect for 2025, meaning that Brian will succeed Meena as President in 2026.
