Background Details 

Coaching Kid’s 5-11 Years Course 

The Coaching Kids 5-11 years course is aimed at parents, teachers, and young adults supporting cricketers aged 5-11 years. The course is designed to provide new and emerging coaches with the knowledge and skills to deliver child-centred, safe, fun, and age-appropriate coaching sessions.

This course is usually the first step on the coaching ladder.

Coaching Cricket Course (2-Day)

The Coaching Cricket course is aimed at anyone who wants to coach club or school players aged over 11 years. The course is designed to provide new and emerging coaches with the knowledge and skills to deliver player centred, enjoyable, and safe coaching support with an appropriate focus on cricket skills and long-term player development.

This course is usually the second step on the coaching ladder. However, some coaches will choose to do this as their first course with us. However, please be aware that this course does include an assessment at the end of it where you will prepare a session plan, coach part of it to the other participants and get feedback from an assessor. 

Core Coach (Formerly Level 2):

The new course will now be called “Core Coach” and this is an ECB qualification run by Cricket Ireland.

There is 72hr+ work on this course including online modules, in-person and assessment.
