Cricket Leinster is pleased to announce the appointment of Killian Molloy as the full-time CL Programmes Co-Ordinator.
Killian will report to Brían O’Rourke and be responsible for promoting and running the Smash It and Its Wicket Programmes across the CL region. These programmes are focused on teaching cricket to children aged 5-13 in a safe, inclusive environment.
His responsibilities will include:
+ Building and maintaining relationships with local clubs and hubs.
+ Supporting new clubs and partners for future programme delivery.
+ Promoting the programmes in local primary schools and encouraging transition into local clubs.
+ Delivering school sessions, taster events and programme roadshows.
+ Supporting clubs to provide a safe and inclusive environment.
+ Coordinating promotional activities at home international and CL based events.
Killian has recently completed development work with CL and led our disability pilot programme in the Fingal area.
He has a first-class honours degree in Sports Management & Coaching from TUD and a proven track record of success in working with clubs, schools and community groups. He also authored the Cricket4All - Guide to Participation which was published last year in association with Fingal County Council.
Our thanks to Cricket Ireland for the funding support for this role which is part of a nationwide drive to increase participation in the younger age categories (both boys & girls).
