This note is to update all clubs on some staffing changes at CL and equally to confirm some new roles being advertised from today.
Firstly, Kevin Gallagher will shortly be leaving CL having made a strong contribution during his time as Operations Manager. We wish Kevin every success for the future.
We are delighted to announce that Naomi Scott-Hayward has accepted an expanded role as CL Disability, Inclusion & Participation Manager. As part of her expanded role, Naomi will retain much of her existing accountabilities with more capacity to devote to growing our disability work and driving the CL inclusion programme. She will also assume accountability for some key HR functions within the staff team. In her new role, Naomi will lead a major expansion of the CL Cricket4All programme which is built on our enduring partnership with Lords Taverners Ireland (LTI) and other stakeholders as we look to make cricket more accessible to people with disabilities.
As part of this, we are advertising some roles (both full-time & part-time) including a Women's & Girls Programme Co-Ordinator (permanent, part-time role) and a new CL/South Dublin Cricket Development Officer (permanent, full-time role). The South Dublin role will be formally advertised next week.
The roles being advertised are all great opportunities to be part of the team at CL which is focused on growing & developing cricket across the province.
Cricket Leinster has 47 member clubs across 13 counties competing in 25 adult and over 40 youth/schools leagues. Cricket Leinster has circa 5,500 regular registered adult cricketers and over 17,000 yearly schoolyard cricketers. A growth trend in participation over recent years continued in 2023 - material growth is primarily taking place at city-based clubs and ones in proximity to the M50 ring-road (e.g., Tyrrelstown, Balbriggan, Swords, Finglas, Castleknock, Lucan, Ongar, Clondalkin, Adamstown, Sandyford, DLR County). Clubs outside the Greater Dublin area are also benefiting from increased urbanisation which is reflected in ever increasing player numbers.
Cricket Leinster works with circa 340 primary schools which participate in our programmes across the 13 counties, circa 17,000 kids (combination of school-yard sessions, blitzes, District Cup and Leprechaun Cup competitions). We currently work with circa 40 secondary schools which also participate in our competitions during the summer term (50/50 male & female)
Full details on all these roles are published separately - any queries & applications can be directed to Naomi: (naomi.scotthayward@cricketleinster.ie).
