The CL Women's Autumn Meeting took place earlier this evening with circa 30 people in attendance from a wide range of clubs.
The outgoing Secretary’s report circulated prior to the meeting by Kevin Gallagher was taken as read.
The following people were elected to the Committee for 2025:
Anna Beale (Pembroke)
Judy Cohen (Railway Union)
Sue O'Neill (Clontarf)
Celeste Raack (Merrion)
Jenny Sparrow (Leinster)
Aoife Beggs (Rush)
It was confirmed that Michael Cotter (CL Operations Manager) will fulfil the secretarial role to the incoming Committee as part of the administrative support provided by the CL Office.
Becca Gallagher (Pembroke) will continue to chair the Women's Committee into 2025 (year two of her term). Becca is also a member of the CL Board.
Thanks were recorded to the outgoing Committee and also to Alan & Michelle Maginnis of Sprint Coatings for their sponsorship on women's cricket over recent years.
The meeting was briefed on the competition structures for 2025 which will see Division One rebranded as the Women's Premier League and extended to nine teams for the 2025 season only. A couple of the Premier League fixtures will be played as a double-header on a suitable weekend date during the 2025 season.
As Chair, Becca then facilitated a very engaging Q&A session with many different suggestions and ideas raised which will now be considered by the incoming Committee in advance of the 2025 season.
The detailed minutes of this meeting will be circulated to all relevant clubs in due course.
Thanks to all who attended this evening, it was very much appreciated.
