CL WOMEN’S SOCIAL SMASH (2024)
We are delighted to announce the introduction of the CL Women’s Social-Smash for the 2024 season. Whether you’re a beginner or just want to play cricket socially, Women’s Social-Smash is suitable for female players of any fitness or skill level.
Social-Smash caters specifically for players with little to no experience, although it’s suitable for women who have some experience as well. Clubs have the option to enter a hard or soft ball team. Women’s Social-Smash is a fun, fast paced version of cricket where everyone gets a go.
Who can play? This is a game for adult females with an emphasis on participation and having a go.
Where can you play? Any club can enter a team and fixtures are made by individual clubs to suit their players.
How many players do you need? Teams can have 8 or 10 players.
Do you need all the kit? Teams can play hard or soft ball cricket. For soft ball, gear will be provided by the club.
What are the rules? Normal cricket rules apply with a few alterations to make sure everyone gets a turn.
