In all 32 clubs [225 teams] took part in the Leinster Open Cup Competitions. The tables are based on a weighted scale whereby points are awarded for getting through rounds of the competition [10, 7.5, 5.0, 2.5] combined with a weighting for the grade of competition, with the aggregate figure divided by the number of teams entered by the club in cup competitions.
This year Merrion were the clear winners across the Open Cup Competitions. In all Merrion won three cups, were runners up twice and were defeated in the SF once. The next most successful clubs were Clontarf, [one final and three SFs] and jointly Pembroke [one cup and one final] and Rush [three SFs].
The other cup winners were Phoenix, Knockharley and Leinster.
