With the beginning of the club cricket season now just two months away, Cricket Leinster are delighted to today have launched the Club Fixture Making Process for the 2025 season.
All club fixture makers will today have received communications from Cricket Leinster with finalised centralised fixtures for each of the following competitions;
IBI Corporate Finance Premier League
Vitallity Sports First Team League
LHW Financial Planning Leinster Senior Cup
LHK Group Alan Murray Cup
SportsHub Premier League
SportsHub Senior Cup
In addition to this, the SportsHub Junior, Minor and Division 4 Cups for Women's Competitions have also got allocated dates for each of their rounds, these may be changed however only with permission from the Women's Committee.
Clubs are now asked to communicate with the respective Fixture Makers in each of their leagues, in order to complete the process in a timely manner.
One major change for this season sees an agreement between the Open Competitions Committee and Women's Committee, allowing for Open fixtures to be played later in the afternoon where light allows, in order to play a Women's fixture before the game. This move will allow any 40-over Open Competition fixture to be moved back to a 2pm start, therefore facilitating a 10:30am start in the Women's Competitions fixture. It is hoped that this arrangement will allow for more weekend Women's Cricket, decreasing the amount of pressure on travel times for clubs.
As with previous years, Clubs will be asked to arrange their T20 fixtures as double-header weekend days, with suggested dates included in the Fixture Making Template.
The official start date for the season is now April 12th, with the final date for games being September 21st, whilst the action in the IBI Corporate Finance Premier League kicks off on April 26th, with the Vitallity Sports First Team League getting underway the following afternoon.
The first scheduled action in the SportsHub Premier League will be on May 8th, with the marquee women's league running right through until August 28th, and featuring two weekend triple-header days on May 31st & June 21st.
Clubs are asked to contact Michael Cotter, CL Operations Manager (michael.cotter@cricketleinster.ie) if there are any issues which occur during the fixture making process.
And remember, with just two months to go to the first fixtures, it's time to register for the 2025 season, full details on how to renew your registration can be found here;
