Coach Development Workshop 2012

6.40pm – 9pm
The evening is aimed towards people coaching beginners and improvers, but will be of benefit to any coach and will also be a great opportunity to meet other like minded people. The first half of the evening will be run by Andrew Leonard and the second half by Matt Lunson. Meet time 6.40pm for Tea/Coffee and refreshments.
Part 1, 7-8pm - "Introducing Cricket To Our New Fans"
delivered by Andrew Leonard
This hour will explore the best methods as to how to introduce our great sport to the next generation of players. Practical examples of how best to explain the game, introduce the different elements of the sport (bowling, batting & fielding) and also how to use games to facilitate the sport's introduction and understanding.
Andrew will also then link into Matt's session on how we can utilise many different types of space to play different types of Cricket matches and games.
Part 2, 8-9pm - "Can we play a match?"
delivered by Matt Lunson
Kwik Cricket ideas & variations to keep things interesting for kids and add ways to accommodate quite large numbers.
Cost: €7.50pp

**Leinster Coaches Association members are those who meet the following criteria:
1. Successfully complete a coaching course (Level 1 and above) through C.I./ECB
2. Have up to date: Child Protection and First Aid Certs
3. Have current Garda Vetting clearance
4. Completed and returned ECBCA Application form to the LeinsterCA Secretary (Aideen Rice)
5. Paid the Annual Subscription to the LeinsterCA Treasurer (Pat Banahan)
(Note that point 2 and 3 have to be renewed every 3 years)
