COUNTY CAVAN CC JOINS CRICKET LEINSTER (2024)

We are pleased to announce that County Cavan Cricket Club will participate in CL competitions for the first time in 2024.

The club reached out for support some months ago and we have since worked with the club to complete our initial governance processes and documentation. This will enable the club to complete in 2024 on a pilot basis.

Importantly, we were pleased to assist the club in finalising a 3-year agreement with Cavan Rugby Club for shared use of their ground/facilities from 2025 onwards (with specific ground works being completed in the intervening period). This will allow a full application process to be finalised and approved in advance of the 2025 season.

For 2024, County Cavan CC will play their 'home' games at Ring Commons CC in a ground-share arrangement which will also involve Ongar CC. We are very appreciative of the support provided by Declan Moore and Ring Commons Sports Club in making this happen.

Whilst County Cavan CC will initially participate in Open Competitions, the club has exciting plans to develop both youth and women's cricket and we will support the club to realise their strategic goals over the next few years.
