Position Description – Accounting Technician
Reports to
Chief Executive
Position Overview
Permanent part-time position with responsibility for the day-to-day running of Cricket Ireland financial matters, including financial administration and book-keeping, banking, invoicing and credit control
Key Responsibilities
- processing expense claims
- raising invoices - sponsorship; media; other revenues raised through event-specific activity eg. perimeter advertising; brochure advertising; hospitality etc
- revenue/debt collection
- event/major match budget preparation
- post-event/match financial reconciliation
- primary responsibility for banking including liaison with northern banking administrators
- management of on-line banking including on-line payments and transfers
- day-to-day management of finances; book-keeping
- payment of bills, invoices etc
- compliance with internal financial protocols
- liaison with payroll administrators
- managing petty cash
- any other duties as appropriate
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting technician role essential
- Previous experience in financial control essential
- Hands-on experience in small-medium organisation desirable
- Demonstrable working knowledge of modern Microsoft IT and software packages including SAGE, Office, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Experience in dealing with community and voluntary organisations desirable
- Knowledge of sport essential; cricket knowledge desirable but not essential
Position tenure
Permanent and part-time, 21 hours per week.

Dublin, north-side
Remuneration
€18,000 per annum
Annual leave
15 days per annum
