After the success of the inaugural Cricket Leinster Club Day last year, there will be an expanded 2017 Club Day hosted on Sunday 5th November in the Green Isle Hotel.
The second Annual Cricket Leinster Club Day is now less than a month away. It will take placeon Sunday, 5th Novemberin the Green Isle Hotel, Newlands Cross.
The Club Day is an absolutely crucial one to the continued development and success of the sport within the Cricket Leinster region and we are very keen to continue engaging with all 42 cricket clubs across the Province.
At the inaugural day in 2016, we had attendees from 31 of the 42 clubs - we are really keen to ensure that we have 100% attendance from all clubs for the 2017 event.
Attendance is completely free for all and to assist with hosting numbers and catering, can we please ask that everyone intending on attending the 2017 Club Day, please register by clicking this link here. All are welcome to attend (including players, officials, club committee members, umpires, scorers, volunteers of any kind).
The 2017 season on the whole has been a very successful one however there are a number of crucial, ongoing issues affecting the sport that we wish to discuss with all the stakeholders involved in cricket in Leinster.
There will be a strong focus on many areas that affect all cricket clubs, and how we can work together to help move the sport forward into the 2018 season and indeed going forward into the years ahead.
Over the coming weeks, the finalised agenda and speakers will be confirmed and announced although we have already identified some of the core subject areas for discussion on the day.
There will also be presentations from the various Focus Groups that have been formed to assist with the progression of areas critical for cricket across the Leinster region.
The outline of the areas of focus for the Club Day are as follows:
This Club Day is your Club Day and we are keen to hear from all clubs and any individuals as to their thoughts on what else they would like to be discussed, or of course any input into the above areas in advance.
So you can either leave a comment on the new comments section of the Cricket Leinster website or you can send us through an email: philip.smith@cricketleinster.ie.
Looking forward to a great event on 5th November.
