An excellent days cricket took part at Corkagh Park, Clondalkin today as Leinster hosted both a boys and girls team from North Wales. Both Leinster teams return to Holyhead later this week for the return fixtures. The games formed part of Cricket Leinster’s commitment to ‘The Gathering 2013’ where close work has been carried out in recent months with South Dublin tourism. A second pitch has been laid in Clondalkin which has been a huge boost to cricket in the area. In July, the ground played host to Bedford Modern school who played a South Dublin X1 while Adamstown CC will run their own tournament on Saturday, August 31st where confirmed teams so far include Donegal, Derry, Louth, Wexford, Belfast, South Dublin, North Dublin and Adamstown CC.
