After a great response from cricketers across the province, Cricket Leinster can reveal the exciting news that a new league for cricketers over the age of 50 will be played this summer.
Cricket Leinster's Masters Cricket League will initially feature five regional teams, with each team playing other teams once across the summer. Regulations and final details will be confirmed in the coming weeks, but it is expected that matches will be 40 over limited overs cricket.
Many cricketers across the province have already been in touch to say that they are interested in playing. Cricket Leinster would particularly like to hear from any cricketers who may no longer be playing league cricket, and would like to get involved again. If you fancy being part of this new chapter of cricket in Leinster, please get in touch with admin@cricketleinster.ie.
Players will be limited to playing for one team throughout the league, but the team you play for is up to you. Perhaps it is close to your home; perhaps close to your work - or maybe somewhere in between!
Plenty more details will follow in the coming weeks, but for now, please get in touch if you haven't already
