Yes, we know it's late - over three weeks late in fairness. The wait was worthwhile though, and we're finally ready to announce the May winner of out search for the Cricket Leinster Photo of 2014.
Six more photos have made it to the final of the May edition of the search to find the best photo around. The only rules are that the photos should have some connection with Leinster cricket (although not too tenuous!), and ideally be taken in the month concerned (although that's can't always be guaranteed!)
Any photo that captures the exact moment of a wicket falling is thrilling, and AJ Vosse has captured that moment in two photos, both from matches that featured North Kildare - although with differing outcomes
Our first finalist shows Niall McGovern of North County being bowled by Tom Satchwell of North Kildare. It was a good day for North Kildare, recording a massive 310 run win
The next photo shows the exact millisecond that Neil Vorster lost his off stump. North Kildare were beaten this time by Sandyford in a Division 6 match. The Sandyford keeper is Raj Padmanaban
Rodney Smythe's contribution to the cricketing websites of Ireland is vital - and we just love his photomontages. This one shows Louise McCarthy, one of the form players of 2014. The match in question saw Pembroke beat YMCA by 8 runs
We have to throw in a cute one, and Graham Mooney grabs the limelight this month (although he's not really providing the cuteness!) The Phoenix 5ths captain leading from the front, and making sure he gets in lots of extra practice.
Finally, come two shots that both came close to winning. The runners-up spot (which brings with it absolutely nothing!), goes to Willie Barr showing a sight that was all too common in early May - angry clouds, although in this case, the sun was trying to break through. The match is a Whelan Cup game between Castleknock 2 and The Hills 4
The winning shot this month is another picture taken by Rodney Smythe, showing YMCA's Gabby Lewis in the same Pembroke vs YMCA women's Divison 1 match. We just love the poise and elegance captured by the shot
Rodney will win a blown up version of the photo, and will be in with a chance of winning the prestigious Cricket Leinster Photo of 2014.
