The list of 'current' players [from end 2012 season] who have scored more than 2000 runs or 200 wickets is included below.

The 'old man' of the competition is clearly Alan Lewis who has been playing now for 10 years longer than nearly anyone else and is the only player from the 1970s still active at this level. In fact that there are only two players from the 1980s, Terenure's John Hoey and Colm Morgan. Alan is due to captain YMCA 2nd XI this season but don't be surprised if he sneaks out for a few matches on the 1sts.

The tables give a good indication of targets for batters and bowlers with a number of players likely to break into the all time career averages for Leinster [5000 runs]. I am not sure if anyone will give him the ball this year - but Alan Lewis is only four wickets short of 500 wickets.
