With the withdrawal of North Kildare from Division 2 the OCC has been working with General Manager, Philip Smith to try and find a suitable solution. During this process the OCC has been in regular contact with all the clubs involved.
The OCC is delighted to welcome the inclusion of a Development team from Munster for the 2018 season. This in effect replaces North Kildare which then allows Division 2 to have the same structure as last season without the need for any extra rounds or the like.
Cricket Leinster are anxious to begin the process of examining 'senior' League and Cup structures for 2019. The objective is to arrive at a clear set of recommendations in advance of the 2018 season (i.e., by April 2018) so clubs know how things will work for 2019 before a competitive match is played in 2018 and can plan accordingly.
The Division 1 and 2 fixtures are being determined and will be finalised next week which then in turn will allow all the Team Secretary to carry out their duties.
Finally, the OCC would like to thank Philip Smith, Cork County, Dublin University, Malahide, Balbriggan, Railway Union, Rush and Terenure for their input and patience over this period.
