Division 12 was slightly curtailed when The Hills 5ths had to withdraw during the first few weeks of the season, which left each side only playing 12 matches. However the weather was pretty kind to this division, and all matches were played.
Clontarf 5 were the dominant side, only losing twice all season. They lost their first match of the season against Wexford, and then tied match number two against North County, but then were only to lose one more match all season, against Merrion 7 by the smallest margin of one wicket.
They didn't completely run away with the league though. North County 5 had a similar record to Clontarf, only losing to Merrion and Clontarf, as well as the tie in the other Clontarf match. These two Clontarf results were the crucial ones, and if either had been different, North County would have won the league. North County's problems in fielding a 4th and 5th team on the same day on September 11th (preventing the 5ths from taking points), didn't prove to be costly, as even a win wouldn't have been enough to overtake Clontarf.
Merrion 7 were there and thereabouts all season, but regular losses meant that they could never quite close the gap on the top two.
So who were the individuals who helped shape Division 12? Thirty players passed 100 runs for the season, with seven of them going on to 200 runs. The top three comprised the irrepressible Oliver Rye of Merrion, who had 275 at 25, Nitin Naik of Phoenix who looked a good player at this level with 251 runs at 35.86 and David Russell of North County, with 246 rus at 41.
There were three centurions, Senthil Kumar with 115 for Ballyeighan against Merrion, Stephen Ainsworth with 103* for Wexford against Sandyford and finally David Russell, with 101* against Phoenix

So that's the fancy dan batsmen dealt with. How about the toilers with the ball?
John Anders of Phoenix comes top of the list, one of only four bowlers who passed the 15 mark. Anders took 18 wickets at 9.89. Then comes a player whom much has been written about, and much more will be writen in the future. Andrew Delany of CLontarf had a great season on many levels, and his 16 wickets at an average of 6.5 (at only 2.24 runs per over) was a great acheivement for Clontarf 5ths.
The other two to pass 15 wickets were Matt Guest of Phoenix (16 at 17.75) and Andrew Sheridan of North County (15 at 12.13)
The top two bowling performances were both from Phoenix and illustrates the beauty of cricket, giving opportunities to young and old (ish) alike. John Anders stepped out of the recent shadow of his children with 6-20 against the Hills, in a match that was subsequently erased from the league record. Ben White, who looked mightily impressive all season, took 5-8 against Ballyeighan, and 11 wickets at 8.45 in the 33 league overs that he bowled
