Ringcommons were the controversial winners of Division 13 in 2012 - a division in which they won by dint of being far too good for the opposition - which wasn't their problem! There will be no such issues in 2013 though, with a tough looking division being fought for by nine equal looking teams.
There is one newly entered team, Laois 4. As such they are an unknown quantity, but it is unlikely they will run away with the league. However, Laois have been one of the form clubs in recent years, and it would be of no surprise if they did well.
Similarly Dundrum 3 are new to Division 14, having been crowned Division 14 champions in 2012. The third team of the Dundrum based team haven't perform as well as the other teams in the club (who have been stellar), so can streak across the galaxy of Division 13? I'm not sure.
Both Railway Union and Knockharley are looking much stronger for 2013, and the teams from these clubs in all divisions could be worth watching, especially the two in this division. As always, it is only an educated guess at this stage!
Teams from Dublin University can always be a lottery for obvious reasons, although the 3rds, based on staff and mature students did well over the whole of last season.
Rush 4 have been quietly going about their business over the last few years, but may be just off the pace in terms of promotion for 2013. Civil Service 4 will be looking for big things in the club's 150th anniversary year, and with other clubs that have had a good few comings and goings, their true strength is hard to gauge. A good bet for a strong cup run maybe?
That leaves North Kildare 3 and Sandyford 3. Sandyford are once again looking stronger this year, but it will be their 2nds doing the business, their 3rds will be mid-table, along side North Kildare 3.
Possible champions - Railway Union 5. Possible runners-up - Knockharley 3. Of course the writer has as much an idea as anyone else, and not too much should be read in these predictions!
