Division-by-Division Review by Fantasy points - Division 14
Division 14 saw 219 players take to the field, although 97 of these only played one or two games.
Leinster CC showed their strength in depth with league honours in Division 14. However they were not top point scorers in the league. That honour went to second placed Bagenalstown who scored 30 points more than champions Leinster CC, but ended up 1.24% behind in second place. Leinster CC’s record included three no results, but of the 11 games played they only lost one, with 10 wins.
Wicklow County seem to have fallen slightly behind, but the club scored the most fantasy points and provide three of the top 5 overall point scorers.
Sandyford suffered a poor season with relegation looming, (OCC dependent) for all three teams. They used the least players in this division, whether through consistency of selection or lack of players, I hope that they will bounce back next season.

Table of Fantasy points scored by team
(Team; Players Used; Total Points) * = Champions # = Leading point scorers
Top Points
Wicklow County have three of the top 5 point scorers with Leinster CC filling the other 2.
Top Points per Game
All shown here played just 1 game, perhaps they will be encouraged to appear more often next year or perhaps they appeared once and were moved up the starring lists pronto.
Top Appearances
F Lonergan Wick 11
B Cramp Lein 11
Top Runs
These are the players to have scored more than 300 runs in Division 14 this season. Wicklow’s players seem to have taken a liking to their new home and mat in Presentation Bray, or perhaps they benefitted from Ed Joyce performing the opening ceremony, who knows?
Top Batting Averages
11 players averaged over 50 in this division, but the amazing thing is only one of the top 11 were dismissed more than once, R. Duffin.
Most Centuries
Just 6 centuries were scored by 5 players with overall winner T Koen the only player to notch two centuries.
Most Fifties
28 fifties were recorded by 35 players. These are the only players to have more than one 50.
K Mughal Adam 2
Ross Shivmangal Knock 2
Mubeen Ahmad Adam 2
Mohammad Shahzad Lein 2
Top Innings Score
Unsurprisingly the top scores belong to the same players that scored the centuries, but which ones went furthest past 100? The answer is the two Adamstown players.
Most Ducks
86 players shared 110 ducks. Here are the players who fell for naught more than once. Sandyford top this table, sadly it is the most unwanted table.

Most Overs Bowled
The two Leinster players shown here must have bowled in every one of the 11 games Leinster CC got to play with both of them missing out on their full allocation by only 3 overs, or to put it another way they bowled over 96% of the overs they possibly could have.
Most Five Wicket Hauls and best Bowling analysis
Only two players managed to record five wickets in a match.
Ray Stapleton Bagenal 5/7
Most Wickets
18 players reached ten wickets, but the top 3 wicket takers were:
M Baker Bagenal 17
Best Bowling Averages
Special mention here for Hamid Ali, who took 2 wickets at 0.00. Ray Stapleton who took 17 wickets did so at 6.65 showing there is a fair bit of life left in that arm yet, despite his constant denials.
Most Catches
240 catches were held by 111 players.
Mohammad Shahzad Lein 8
R Delaney Mull 6
Most Stumpings
There were 14 stumpings in Division 14, taken by 9 keepers. Swiftest and the only keepers with more than one, were:
R Jabarhakall Sand 2
Leinster CC and Bagenalstown will be plying their trade in a higher division next season and Bagenalstown with be dragging the reluctant hero Ray Stapleton back up the leagues with them. Ray thought he would spend the rest of his playing days sliding down the leagues, but has once again proved this season that he can still compete with the best, and he can continue his mentoring role with this side.
Divisional point winner T Koen will probably remain in D14 with Wicklow County to plunder more runs and more points next season.
