Dominick Joyce has announced his retirement from Inter-Provincial cricket with immediate effect.
Ex-Irish international Joyce made his Lightning debut in 2015 and has been a fixture at the top of the batting order ever since and an integral part of the treble-winning teams of the past two seasons.
Dom had the following to say about his decision: “I feel the time is right now to step away from representative cricket having played at both National and Provincial level for a long time now.
I've thoroughly enjoyed being part of a successful Lightning team for the past few seasons and wish the players, staff and selectors all the very best for the future. I'd also like to say thanks to all involved and in particular the selectors for showing faith in me”.
In turn, all at the Lightning would like to thank Dom for all of his hard work and wish him well for his future endeavours.
