DOUBLE DOUBLE FOR CL UNDERAGE INTERPRO SIDES

An excellent season of youth IP cricket was rounded off this afternoon, as the Leinster teams (both boys and girls) have completed the Under 15 and Under 17 InterPro double for the 2024 season.

In the case of the boys, this is the third consecutive year in which they have completed the achievement.

The brilliant run culminated today with a pair of victories for CL U17s in Sydney Parade, where they defeated both NWCU, by 25 runs, and the NCU, by 7 wickets.

Thanks and congratulations to Brían O'Rourke, Naomi Scott-Hayward, Fintan McAllister and all our underage coaching team for supporting the players to achieve this success - our programmes run throughout the year with much of the hard work completed in the winter period.

This work has shown to be a great success, with the CL U15 side winning it's 10th outright title in the last 12 seasons.

It is also very encouraging to see that we have continued to field two IP girls teams thereby maximising the number of players achieving representative honours at these age groups
