Events Manager to be recruited by Cricket Ireland
Cricket Ireland is the governing body for the game at both performance and participation levels throughout Ireland, representing the interests of both the men’s and women’s game. The future of Irish Cricket is incredibly bright following the performance of the Men’s Senior XI in the past four ICC World Cup events and significant wins against Full Member countries over the past 4 years.
This success has resulted in the rapid growth of the organisation and significant increase in turnover, particularly commercially, through the maintenance of partnerships with blue-chip multi-nationals, such as RSA Insurance. At the same time, our growth in playing strength has attracted the best teams in the world to play in Ireland, with teams such as England, Australia, West Indies, India, South Africa, Bangladesh and Pakistan visiting these shores since 2007.
Cricket Ireland is seeking an event professional to ensure that our events, both domestic and international are planned and executed to the world-class standards that our stakeholders demand.
Based in our Dublin HQ, and reporting into the Head of Commercial, the successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of Cricket Ireland’s event portfolio, putting to use relevant experience and proven communication skills.
The position offers a genuine opportunity for the successful candidate to help implement, deliver and evolve the smooth administrative running of Cricket Ireland to help ensure that we continue to be as successful off the field of play, as we are on it.
If this opportunity interests you, please email a CV and a covering letter addressed to Dennis Cousins, to info@irishcricket.org . Please include “Events Manager” in the subject box of your email.
Closing date for the applications is Mon 7th Jan. 2013.
Should you be successful in making the short-list following the application form process, please note that interviews will take place on Mon 14th Jan 2013
