Shahid Iqbal is the first player this season to achieve the target I had put down to be achieved in 2012. He needed 35 runs to get to 4,000 and wasted no time getting there. In his first match of the season he scored 102 to get past 4,000. He has played for both YMCA and latterly Rush, making his Leinster debut in 2002. He has played 158 matches and 147 Innings of which he was not out in 20. Following this inning that brought him to 4,000 runs he has in total 4,067 runs at an average of 32.02. In addition to these he has taken 230 wickets at an average of 20.61.
