In a further expansion of the Girls Development Programme, two teams from Leinster will participate in the first Future Series for girls which takes place in the NW region next week.
Our U17 Leinster squad and the Leinster Futures Squad will be in Bready on Sunday to watch the Ireland Women v Pakistan Women in the last of the T20 Tri-Series matches.
The two Leinster teams will then face off against the North West Cricket Union (NWCU) and the Northern Cricket Union (NCU) Futures Teams in a 3-day 40 over series. This will form the new National Women's Futures Series.

Isobel Joyce (CL Women’s & Girls Development Officer) spoke about the new Future Series as follows:
“This is another great step forward in the domestic game in Ireland. It’s about creating smaller steps for players from one level to the next. We’ve had youth underage interpros, we have the Super Series but this is a level between those two for players to gain experience and improve their skills at a level above club cricket but below the List A level.”
