The 2019 Gerry Duffy Cup concludes this Friday with both semi finals and final taking place.
The Gerry Duffy cup is a T20 format competition played annually during the state exam period for boys who are in 1st and 2nd year of secondary school, usually 13 / 14 year olds.
10 club's entered this season .
North County, Phoenix , Clontarf, The Hills and Malahide contesting the North group with Clontarf and Malahide coming through.
YMCA, Merrion , Leinster, Pembroke and Railway Union contested the South group. Railway Union and Merrion advanced from this group. Despite the inclement weather recently , due to the diligence of the team managers the group matches were completed on schedule .
Finals Day Friday
Semi Final 1 at Railway Union 9.30am start
Railway Union v Malahide
Semi Final 2 at Leinster CC 10am start
Clontarf v Merrion
Final will take place at 1.30pm at Leinster CC
Format is 20 overs per side .
Scores tied (less wickets lost is winner ), still equal then most runs after 10 overs . Still equal then Super Over.
Many thanks to Leinster CC and Railway Union for hosting tomorrow. Spectators are able to see some of the the best young players in Leinster in action.
