GIRLS SLIDING & DIVING MASTERCLASS WITH PAUL & RAACK

The hugely popular Sliding & Diving Masterclass is returning on Thursday 28th October in Ringcommons Cricket Club.

Ireland International & Merrion Club players Leah Paul and Celeste Raack will be leading the session, helping Leinster U13 & U15 girls to learn the fielding skills needed at the top level.

“Sliding and Diving is something that you have to pay really close attention to when first learning it, because poor technique can lead to injuries and are really hard to correct,” says Raack, who previously played for Tasmania and the Hobart Hurricanes before making the move to Ireland. “Getting the chance to put really specific focus on it is great, especially on a ground with a lush outfield so that you can dive around without worrying about it hurting,” she added.

Participants are encouraged to wear full length trousers (cricket trousers are a good option) and long-sleeved t-shirt or jumper. Players can bring spikes if they have them and should bring a change of clothes in case of wet conditions.
