Yesterday saw Civil Service host a pairs match for the U'11 Girls. This rounded up the Cricket Leinster summer activities for all the Cricket Leinster female youth.
It's been a great summer, with successes in Malvern for both the U'13 and U'15 girls, a 1 run defeat for the U'13s in Wales, some great personal triumphs in the home fixture against North Wales, hosted by Pembroke CC and lastly providing a 4th day for the U'11 girls in the form of a match in Civil Service CC.
These activities would not have been possible without the support of Cricket Ireland and the County Councils, along with Women In Sport funding. In particular a big thank you goes to Dublin City Council who made the U'11 Girls camp run smoothly, almost doubling the numbers from last year and enabling us to provide T-Shirts for the kids.
Thank you to the clubs that have supported the hosting of inter-provincial matches, trainings, the North wales fixture and the U’11s Camp. Namely: Civil Service, Clontarf, Leinster, Merrion, North Kildare, Pembroke, Terenure and YMCA.
Each year there are a number of coaches that help out and kindly give their time to ensure these events run smoothly, including all the interprovincial trainings and matches prior to the main fixtures and camp. Amy Kenealy, Barra MacNiocaill, Brían O'Rourke, Caoilfhionn Rowan, Diarmuid Lynch, Fintan McAlister, Hannah McGuickin, Jenny Gray, Laura Erskine, Louise McCarthy, Naomi Scott-Hayward, Neil Vorster and Rob O'Connor.
