Fifteen clubs in Leinster have been awarded grants in the first stage of Cricket Ireland's ground improvement grant scheme.
As part of Cricket Ireland's 2016-2020 Strategic plan, the governing body aims to "incentivise clubs to improve facilities through a ground improvement grant/subsidy scheme based on club accreditation standards" - this launch is the first stage of this scheme, with Cricket Ireland making the funding available to Cricket Leinster to distribute to clubs.
The maximum amount given to each club was reduced to €985 in order to give as many clubs as possible an opportunity to receive the funding. Clubs must match the grant allocation, with monies being made paid on production of the relevant invoices.
Cricket Leinster would like to thank Cricket Ireland for making this funding available.
