Fiachra Tucker: made the highest score on Sunday - 144 for Pembroke v Cork. This time bowling.
There was some extraordinary batting performances on Sunday in the Russell Court D1/D2. There were no less than 5 centuries, many of these maiden centuries from some of Leinster’s most promising younger players. The roll-call of centuries :
The centuries by Brogan, Delany and McGovern were all maiden centuries in senior [D1/D2] cricket. Fiachra Tucker's his first in D1 and a Personal best [PB] in senior cricket.
And there were also major contribution from Conor Armstrong [98] for Rush, Givon Christian [98*][PB] for Terenure and Bravesh Lakhotia [87][PB] for Merrion.
Although further research would be needed to determine if that is the most centuries on a single day what we can say is the number of centuries scored on Sunday equalled or exceeded the annual total in 27 of the 99 years of the Leinster Senior League and Cup.
There were also some big team scores yesterday and Rush’s 380/8 v North Kildare finds a place in the record books being the third highest recorded for Rush after the 394/7 v Belvedere in 2012 and the 382/6 v North County II in 2011. But it is by means the highest in Leinster Senior cricket and lies just outside the top 20 all time highest scores [22nd]

So generally not much fun for the bowlers. But there were still some exceptional performances. Luke Clinton took the first five wickets to fall for The Hills v Phoenix and ended up with [5/35]. Jayden Brown also took five wickets [5/36] in Leinster’s win over YMCA. And there were 3 four wicket hauls, Tom Stanton [4/26] for Merrion v Terenure, Ehtesham Ahmed’s [4/41] for Balbriggan v Railway and Dan van Zyl [4/35] for Terenure.
