The 11th round of fixtures of the IBI Corporate Finance sponsored Premier League and Championship took place yesterday afternoon.
MALAHIDE VS PEMBROKE
In Malahide, 113 from Hunter Kindley helped the home side run up 301/8 from 50 overs, he was supported by 46 from Matt Ford and 35 for each of Arjun Muntha and Fintan McAllister, Joe Prendergast the pick of the bowlers for Pembroke taking 4/52. Pembroke could manage just 116 in reply as Mike Frost took 4/24 and James Newland 2/28 in a 185 run win for the home side.
PHOENIX VS MERRION
In Phoenix, Merrion batted first and half centuries for each of Stephen Doheny and Franco Marais saw the visitors to 193 all out in 47 overs, Dev Ranolia taking 5/36 to be the pick of the bowlers in the first innings. In reply, 4/26 from Amish Sidhu helped reduce Phoenix to 73/7, before 85 from Oliver Hald, and an unbeaten 37 from Louis McDonough saw the home side to a 2 wicket win in the 48th over of the innings.
CLONTARF VS YMCA
In Castle Avenue, Clontarf batted first and made 289/5, thanks to half-centuries from John McNally, Eoghan Delany and the unbeaten David Delany. In response, Jamie Forbes top scored with 85*, whilst Adam Rosslee made 71 as YMCA finished on 268 all out, Fionn Hand the pick of the Clontarf bowlers with 4/46 as they ran out 17 run winners off the final ball of the innings.
THE HILLS VS BALBRIGGAN
Lastly in the top flight, The Hills batted first and were all out for 162, Dylan Blignaut’s 38 the top score as Andrew Darroch’s 5/27 was the main destroyer in the first innings, Connor Fletcher then top scored in the chase with 79 as Balbriggan won by 6 wickets chasing a revised score of 146 after rain had reduced their innings to 43 overs, Ghanim Dara remained not out throughout for 44, as the league leaders chased their target with 10 overs to spare.
TERENURE VS CORK HARLEQUINS
In the Championship, there was a first win of the season for Cork Harlequins, as batting first in Terenure, they made 189 all out, thanks mainly to 52 from Devon Joyce. Zubair Khan was the pick of the bowlers for the home side, taking 4/45, whilst Raghav Grover took 3/33. In the second innings, Seanan Jones took 4/21 and Esmat Ibrahimi 3/16 as Terenure were all out for 45 inside 19 overs with the Cork side winning by 144 runs.
CORK COUNTY VS LEINSTER
In The Mardyke, Leinster batted first and thanks to an unbeaten 152 from Joey Carroll, supported by 51 from Saqib Bahadur and 49 from Ben Mitchell saw them to 296/4 in their 50 overs. There were then three wickets apiece for Ben Mitchell and Bilal Azhar whilst Mark Tonge took 4/23 as they bowled Cork County out for 105 inside 29 overs, a 191 run victory for Leinster.
NORTH KILDARE VS RAILWAY UNION
In Kilcock, Railway Union batted first and in spite of 24 from Kenny Carroll and 42 from Ashil Prakash, were bowled out for 123 inside 38 overs, three wickets for each of Imran ul-Haq and Akilesh Sharma the pick of the bowlers for the home side. In response, 20s for Chirag Chowdhary, Kaustabh Pawar and Manjeet Singh saw the Kildare side to a 5 wicket victory inside 32 overs.
RUSH VS NORTH COUNTY
In Kenure, Rush batted first and made 234 all out, Llew Johnson making 77 from 65 balls, whilst there were 30s from Jack McGee and Asher Abbasi, Digamber Mishra’s 3/41 was the pick of the bowlers for the away side. North County could muster just 163 all out in reply, with Niall McGovern’s 40 the top score, as Allan Eastwood took 4/23 in a 71 run win for the home side.
