This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, dynamic, and sport-minded individual to join a progressive team within Cricket Leinster.
Cricket Leinster has 47 member clubs across all 12 counties in the province competing in 24 adult and over 40 youth/schools leagues. Cricket Leinster has circa 5,500 regular registered adult cricketers and over 17,000 yearly schoolyard cricketers. A growth trend in participation over recent years continued in 2023 - material growth is primarily taking place at city-based clubs and ones in proximity to the M50 ring-road (e.g., Tyrrelstown, Balbriggan, Swords, Finglas, Castleknock, Lucan, Ongar, Clondalkin, Adamstown, Sandyford). Clubs outside the Greater Dublin area are also benefiting from increased urbanisation.
Cricket Leinster works with circa 340 primary schools which participate in our programmes across the 12 counties, circa 17,000 kids (combination of school-yard sessions, blitzes, District Cup and Leprechaun Cup competitions). We currently work with circa 40 secondary schools which also participate in our competitions during the summer term (50/50 male & female).
Cricket is played by all backgrounds, abilities, genders together. We operate a strong governance framework – reflected in our Board and management structures. Cricket Leinster has a strong volunteer ethos – embedded in the community. Cricket is a multi-cultural sport. Cricket Leinster has a well established disability & adaptive cricket programme in-place, working with circa 50 schools with expert resources and equipment provided.
