With just the September run in to go - what are the possible outcomes for the various leagues.
Longford and YMCA battle for D5 title
With three rounds of matches to play in this nine team league, the title looks to lie between YMCA 3 and the current D5 champions Longford. The differing fortunes of the two sides last weekend with YMCA defeating Merrion in a reduced overs game and Longford losing to Phoenix 3 may prove to be decisive.
But what may ensure an interest for the neutral spectator is the performance of Adamstown who have three matches in hand - including one each against the two leaders. Were Adamstown somehow to win these two games by large margins it is just possible that they could challenge for honours.
But the most likely outcome is that it will be YMCA and Longford who are fighting over the title at the end of the season, and at the moment YMCA hold the advantage.
At the other end of the table time is fast running out for Pembroke 3. With only one win recorded this season they are a long way from safety. Balbriggan 2 are the second side in trouble and also have a lot to do to overtake Castleknock who are in 7th place with games in hand.
Three way battle for honours in D6
Leinster 3, Mullingar and Wexford are all in there with a chance of taking the title. With a game in hand Wexford can overtake the other two going into the final three rounds. Indeed with fixtures scheduled between the three sides [all play all] there is still everything to play for in the league.
At the other end of the table with their programme of matches completed, Merrion 5ths finish last. They are likely to be joined there by Terenure 2 who trail Bagenalstown by six points but have played one game more.
Clontarf out on their own in D7.
With North Kildare 2 unable to complete their league fixtures there is still some work to be done in distributing the points from matches that have taken place. Notwithstanding the confusion - the outcome of the league looks clear enough with Clontarf 4 out in front and needing a win in their remaining game to claim the title. But if they misstep then Adamstown have an opportunity to take advantage. Mathematically Greystones can also take the title but a lot has to fall into place for this to happen.
Subject to confirmation the relegation spots have also been determined with North Kildare 2 and Dublin University 2 filling them. Of course much will depend on how leagues are restructured for next season.
The main interest in the league is who will grab the second promotion spot - and here Adamstown 2 has a slight advantage over Greystones in points.
Laois 2 and Swords fight it out in D8
With a couple of matches yet to be confirmed in the official tables, what it is looking like in D8 is that Laois 2 have completed their fixtures and are ahead of Swords, but Swords have a game in hand which if they win will secure the title. Their outstanding fixture is against The Hills who Swords beat by six wickets last Sunday.
At the other end of the table North County 3 have completed their programme and are bottom. There is still some play to determine who will take the second relegation spot between The Hills 3, Wicklow County and Ashbourne.
