The five remaining clubs in Cricket Ireland's two all Ireland club competitions will be generally happy, with three of the five getting home draws.
In the Bob Kerr Irish Senior Cup, Pembroke will be aiming to make it third time lucky. They reached the semi finals in 2009 (losing to Donemana) and last year, when they lost to Clontarf. Standing in their way will be NCU side Waringstown, who were the impressive conquerors of Clontarf in the quarter final. The sides last met in a 2008 first round match, when Ireland spinner Gary Kidd took 5-24, as Pembroke were bowled out for 103. Waringstown went on to win that one by 8 wickets.
The other semi final sees Merrion host Civil Service North. Merrion have become regular attendees in the latter stages of this competition - this is their 5th semi final appearance in the last eight years. The match is a repeat of the 2013 semi final, when Merrion travelled to Stormont, and came away with a 92 run win. John Anderson scored 86* in that match, before an all round bowling display saw CSN bowled out for exactly 200.
In the National Cup, Rush of Division 2 are drawn at home to Greystones of Division 4 - surprise semi finalists to some, but no surprise to avid followers of Leinster cricket. It is the first time both sides have been in the semi final, and it will be the first ever meeting between the two.
Dundrum were the one club that wouldn't have been happy with their draw, as they travel to Drummond, of the North West - conquerors of Laois in the last round. Drummond are having an excellent season, and are unbeaten of the North West championship with six wins from six.
Semi finals in both competitions will be held on Sunday 16th August.
