The two-day coaching visits made it possible for the young cricketers in the Midlands to work with some of the Unions top coaches but also gave coaches at these clubs the chance to observe the sessions and take ideas for themselves for use in their own coaching sessions in the coming weeks.
Mark Topping, coach at North Kildare commented:
'North Kildare Cricket Club would like to congratulate Cricket Leinster for organising a very informative and fun day for the club's youth section. There were over 50 young cricketers in attendance at The Maws, Kilcock today. North Kildare Cricket Club would like to thank a number of Knockharley and Mullingar junior club members for attending and making it a very successful day'.
Aidan Tudor at Laois CC was also quick to appreciate the efforts of Cricket Leinster mentioning 'Many thanks again to the coaches for the visit to Laois CC. All present seemed to really enjoy the sessions while several of our coaches found it very beneficial and have obtained many new ideas and new training drills they can now use themselves for the remainder of the season.
Leinster coaches delivering the sessions included:
Reinhardt Strydom, Andre Botha, Barry McCarthy, Kenny Carroll and Amy Kenealy.
