'It is a big honour to be selected to play for the Leinster Development XI especially against the MCC. The team we have picked have a  lot of ability and some of the players are at different stages in their development. Most of  the players have come up through the Leinster under age teams and this is the next step on their pathway. Many have scored big runs and taken plenty of wickets already this summer. We are looking forward to a good test against the MCC who always have a strong line up and I expect to see many of these players break into the Leinster Lightning team in the coming years'.
