The Leinster Lightning Bolts have announced a 12-man squad to take on the MCC in a 2-day match at Trinity College on June 11th and 12th.
Some new faces get a chance to shine in a side captained by Merrion wicket-keeper batsman Patrick Tice. Terenure’s Seamus Lynch who has been a shining light for his club this season steps up to the Inter-Provincial scene.
A young side, the Bolts will look to the experience of the Malahide trio of Greg and Matt Ford and James Newland and The Hills’ opening batsman Cormac McLoughlin-Gavin to lead the side.
The MCC will feature some familiar faces, none more so than Albert van de Merwe. The newly appointed Talent Pathway Manager and Coach with Cricket Ireland will face up against the Bolts he played such a crucial role in developing as a support to the Leinster Lightning.
Play gets underway at 11am on Tuesday June 11th and Wednesday June 12th with live-scoring on the match centre of www.cricketleinster.ie and social media updates on @cricketleinster on Twitter.
