All Results Possible on Day 3
With the Knights 83/1 ahead of Day 3 of the InterProvincial Championship match, it goes without saying that the morning session will be vital for both sides in determining the outcome with all three results possible.
Lightning removed Ellison early last night but will be looking for wickets first up to limit the run chase before batting last on an already turning pitch.
James McCollum top-scored in the Knights first innings (87) and how he fares this morning, already on 42 not out, may have a big say in how this one turns out.
Both bowling attacks have been hit by the loss to injury of Jarred Barnes (Lightning) and Nikolai Smith (Knights) however this only ensures that spin, which was already set to play a major role on the final day, will come to the fore.
Play is due to resume at 11am but the weather hasn’t played ball overnight. Plenty of rain has fallen and the ground-staff are working hard to ensure the first ball is bowled on time.
