The Leinster Lightning, who regained the Test Triangle InterProvincial T20 Trophy with 5-wicket victory over the Northern Knights last week, will seek to retain the 50-over version when their campaign gets underway against the same opposition on the 17th September.
With preparation time, and competitive action, limited by the cancellation of the final IP20 against the North West Warriors on Tuesday September 8th, the Lightning will play a 40-over Intra-Squad match at Malahide Cricket Club on Friday September 11th.
This match will give crucial time in the middle to the Lightning squad, while also allowing Head Coach Nigel Jones run the rule over some of the fringe and Lightning Bolts players at representative level.
The match will be played at Malahide with thanks to everyone there for providing a wicket and their grounds.
The match will also be live scored on the Cricket Leinster website and via social media channels so that our fans can follow the action.
