Twenty seven players met the qualifying threshold [250 Runs and 12 Wickets / Dismissals] for the Leinster Senior All-Rounder Averages for 2017. Six of these were wicket-keepers. The list is ranked by points scored [1 = Run / 20 = Wicket / Dismissal]. The full list is set out below.
It is always difficult to compare players from different eras. But with all-rounders one can expect the balance between bowling and batting to at least in part resolve itself in the points for each. Using the current formula and applying it throughout the 99 years of the Leinster Senior League there are four players who have amassed more than 2000 points in a season.
Heading the list is Nazeer Shoukat in 1996 [Rush] with 2246. The other three are spread across the years - Chris Kuggeleijn [Pembroke] with 2146 in 1983, Alec O'Riordan [Belvedere] with 2078 in 1965 and way back in 1922, JG Heaslip [2049] for Phoenix.
