Cricket Leinster unveiled its 2018 flagship Primary schools ‘Super League’ event with exciting news of its expansion to include four new schools.
The 2018 Super League (sponsored by Blue Insurance) starting on Wednesday April 25th will therefore be played over a three-group system before moving into knockouts with a grand final being held towards the end of May.
This is another boost for Cricket Leinster that it has been able to expand another of its youth competitions. This pays credit to extensive work done by the youth development team and continues to show the benefits of the partnerships with the local councils who have helped fund the programmes.
Brían O’Rourke Cricket Leinster's Cricket Development Manager was delighted with the Super League’s expansion adding, “this shows the efforts of the youth development team bearing fruit and another step towards our goal of every school-age boy and girl in Leinster being able to play cricket”.
