The Open Competitions Committee has released the regulations for the Lewis Hohn Williams Senior Cup, and there have been some changes to the flagship of the LCU's league program.
For the last 50 years, tales abound, of matches being rolled over for night after night, with one Leinster vs Phoenix match memorably spreading out over nine evenings. Last year's Railway Union vs North County semi final also dragged on for many week night evenings, and for that reason Duckworth Lewis has been introduced in to this year's competition.
Matches will need to be a minimum of 20 overs per side, else there will still be a need for a refix. After that second day, teams may have a bowl out or (if captains agree) a third attempt at a match.
