Leinster Lightning has announced an unchanged squad for Thursday’s Test Triangle Interprovincial T20 against the North West Warriors at Pembroke Cricket Club.
George Dockrell and Fiachra Tucker replace Andrew Balbirnie and Gareth Delany in the squad that defeated Munster at the same venue last week, after Tuesday’s tie away to the Northern Knights at Comber, was washed out due to the inclement weather.
After starting the campaign with a bonus-point 5-point victory over the Munster Reds last week, Lightning Head Coach Nigel Jones is hoping to see the side build on that win.
Looking ahead to the game, Jones said; "The boys are itching to get some cricket after yesterday's washout. It's important that we turn up ready to face the new set of challenges from the Warriors tomorrow.
"We're obviously very keen to showcase our T20 abilities and put on a good show for our loyal supporters, now that they can watch at home via livestream which is a great announcement from Cricket Leinster and Cricket Ireland. It's crucial given the times we are in that we can engage with those fans even if they cannot be at the ground in person."
The Lightning continue their Interprovincial campaign with a T20 fixture against the North West Warriors at 1.30pm on Thursday August 27th. The squad for that match is below.
